Design ideas for Autumn/Winter 2014

Here are some of my design ideas for my Autumn/Winter 2014 collection which I intend to sell once I have got my business up and running.

Black and Red Top with Satin and Lace Panels

 

I have now finished making my latest design. It has a black satin panel at the front. There are side panels of black lace overlaying the red fabric, and the back of the top is made from red polyester. It has a zip in the centre of the back piece, and buttons at the back of the halter neck for an easy and secure fit.

 

 

 

 

 

New garment

I am currently working on a new design. It is a red polyester panelled top with a black satin panel at the front. Two red panels, also on the front, have black lace overlay. The combination of red and black colours and the inclusion of satin and lace make for quite an intricate and sophisticated design. There will be a zip in the back as the fabrics are non-stretch, therefore a zip will be required in order for the wearer to be able to put the top on. The top has a halter neck and I have top stitched the edges to create a neat finish.

Waistcoat

I have designed and made this waistcoat. I'm really pleased with how it has turned out, considering it is the first waistcoat I've made.

I have recently designed and made this gorgeous slinky dress. I always wanted to make a dress like this. I'm so pleased with how it has turned out.

Black satin top with red ribbon

I have recently been making this devilishly black, shiny top. Red ribbons tie up around the neck and around the back. I designed it as well.

Fine mesh top

This is a top which I have designed and I finished making it today. It has blue ribbons attaching the shoulder to the front. It has quite a loose fit to create a draping effect.

Here is a top I have been making for the past 2 days. Finished it today and I am really pleased with it. I designed and made it myself without any outside help.

Using a Pattern to Cut Fabric

 

To cut fabric using a pattern, fold the fabric over, right sides together. Lay the pattern pieces over it and pin them in place. Then cut around the pattern pieces.
